Financial Implications of Pantyhose Addiction

I almost never walk into a department store and come out without at least one, usually more than one, pair of pantyhose.  It doesn't matter if I'm shopping for clothes or shoes, I'll usually purchase hose to compliment these other purchases.  And, of course, sometimes I just purchase hose.

Now I hope you don't find this purchasing behavior odd, I am a self-proclaimed pantyhose addict, after all, and as a result of my addiction I probably spend somewhere between 50 and 100 times more on pantyhose each year as compared to the average woman.  It makes sense when you consider the fact that I wear hose nearly every day whereas the average woman might only wear pantyhose 2 or 3 times per year.  Even though my spending makes sense for an addict such as myself, the more important question to ask is - does it make sense for my personal financial situation?

I'm a professional person and I earn a comfortable living.  Spending $100 a month on pantyhose is both within my financial means and a logical compliment to my everyday business attire.  Now consider your spending as it relates to sustaining your pantyhose lifestyle.  You might purchase pantyhose by the dozen, subscribe to a pantyhose website or two or even compulsively purchase your spouse an expensive outfit each month to continually provide the opportunity for her to wear pantyhose when you go out.  These are all logical purchases that one with a pantyhose addiction might make.  Maybe out of the norm compared to the general population, but not odd for a pantyhose lover.

If you're spending within your means then you're likely enjoying the driving compulsion that has you perusing the pantyhose racks at Macy's for an hour or more.  Hey, I know that feeling and it is pure pleasure!  But if you're overspending, spending money you don't have, or over-extending on credit just to feed your habit, this addiction can be painful.  If you find yourself trapped in a cycle of spending beyond your means I urge you to seek help.  If you don't know where to turn, please reach out to me here > http://www.pantyhoseshareclub.net/contact.php and I will try to connect you with a certified financial counselor that will be non-judgemental towards your pantyhose lifestyle.  I am committed to helping those in our community both enjoy this lifestyle and manage pantyhose compulsion, so please feel free to reach out to me.

The Pantyhose Share Club November survey will soon be released and it probes this question of personal financial responsibility with respect to our spending on our pantyhose lifestyle.  The results obtained from this survey will help us to understand the spending habits of others within our pantyhose community.  The aim of this, along with all the other Pantyhose Share Club surveys, is to help characterize our community so we can compare ourselves to others with a similar lifestyle making choices that might appear outside the norm but are normal for those of us with a pantyhose addiction.

I hope you'll plan to participate in our anonymous pantyhose spending survey.  The survey opens for responses on November 1st.  Visit http://www.pantyhoseshareclub.net/ and click on 'More' to access our surveys.  The October survey will be open for a few more days and results from all prior surveys are available for viewing.

I'm looking forward to sharing more with you soon.

  1. I absolutely consider myself to have a full-blown fetish when it comes to pantyhose. I love how they look and feel on a woman, and I of course have worn pantyhose frequently in my past (not much of late however)...

I am grateful however, that while I do have such desires for such a wonderful, silky object, I don't have such an addictive personality that it consumes be both personally and financially.

I'm actually the opposite (financially speaking), I spend very little (if anything at all) on my fetish. I've never subscribed to a site, and only one time in my life have I purchased pantyhose for myself. I really try and control my desire and limit myself to what I truly need, and financially speaking, can afford.

At the end of the day, there are many financial obligations that are more important than pantyhose. I hope some day I can spend a few free dollars on some hosiery for myself...

  4. I agree. I can't go to the mall without stopping in the hosiery section of at least one department store. And it's rare that I don't leave with at least one pair. Definitely have a compulsion to buy them.

  5. Thanks for sharing this. I've often wondered if women could become hooked on pantyhose the same way guys do. I would be a poor husband for someone who wanted to break such addictions because I would be there beside a female addict at the hosiery counter helping pick out her new pairs. I'd be buying Wolford lots on eBay to get the best price and surprising her with gifts. I'd be asking, as she climbed into bed beside me, "Why did you take them off?"

Of course, it's not fun to struggle with an addiction of any sort. I don't mean to make light of it. I'm glad you've created this blog and your social site, safe places to process the feelings of pleasure and reassurance you get when you've transformed yourself into a woman of cloth.

    1. Mark,

I cannot speak for all women, but for me I can say I'm not hooked on pantyhose in exactly the same way that most guys are. Whether you are male or female, this is not a mind altering or body altering addiction. I do not consider it problematic for myself or anyone else I know. What I am trying to do through this blog and the social site is offer pantyhose addicts some perspective on the pantyhose lifestyle so they might shed any guilt or shame and live the lifestyle openly and honestly. We also endeavor to provide support to those in need whether it is support to live a fulfilling pantyhose lifestyle or to walk away from it if a marriage depends on it.

Thanks for your comment and thanks for being a part of Pantyhose Share Club!

    2. Women wear them as a part of a dress code. They wouldn't choose to wear them continuously. Men wear them to feel what it's like to feels the silken satiny feel on the genitalia. Women like it too.

  6. I truly overspend on pantyhose. I've paid over 65.00 for a single pair. These don't run as often. But the Hanes ,Sheer Energy and others do. Always wear gloves.Get pedicures and use lotion. Buy at the outlets and get them by the dozen.

  8. Always remember to get a professional pedicure. Wear plastic gloves when slipping them on. Plenty of lotion as well.Ease them on, don't pull.
