A World Without Pantyhose?

We live in a world divided - Republicans and Democrats, Muslims and Christians, those with wealth and those without.  Sure, these groups sometimes agree to get along but divisions and differences still run deep.  If the recent survey run by Stylist.com is any indicator, the fashion world is also divided when it comes to pantyhose (http://www.stylelist.com/2012/04/13/pantyhose-hosiery_n_1424472.html).

If you pay close attention to the arguments posed by some pantyhose cynics, you might recognize a sense of urgency typically reserved for political or religious extremists.  It's apparent that the very thought of pulling on a pair of pantyhose can cause great discomfort for some.  Discomfort to such an extent that they may wish this product banned and pulled from store shelves.  Good luck with that crusade.

I take a more moderate view.  Pantyhose may not be for everyone, but they are for me.  I've never felt a need to be with the "in" crowd or accepted by the masses.  I do my own thing and I'm not trying to sway others to accept my point of view.  Surely there are far more important issues to rally behind, but perhaps in the fashion world this one tops the list.

The thing is, compulsive pantyhose addicts don't wear pantyhose as a fashion accessory.  This function is secondary in our world.  Our primary driver is a deep affection for and obsessive need to be connected to pantyhose.  I wish I knew why but I don't have all the answers, I just know that this is how pantyhose people think.

The Stylist.com survey results are encouraging since they show about 70% of respondents in favor of pantyhose making a come back.  So the fashion world appears well aligned with our world and I'm not at all concerned about waking up one morning to find a world without pantyhose.  Then again, even if the fashion world should outlaw pantyhose, I doubt little will change in the world of those living the pantyhose lifestyle.  Our little world will not be changed and I'm pleased to be a part of it with you.

I'm looking forward to sharing more with you soon.

  1. I've been wearing stockings and pantyhose since I was 4. It's rare a day goes by where I don't wear. I wear pantyhose around the house, to bed at night and outdoors with shorts in the warmer weather.

I rarely go barelegged. I just love pantyhose they make my legs feel so nice. I find myself constantly stroking and touching them.

I love looking at my legs in pantyhose. After so many ears of wearing, I'm still impressed with how good my legs look.

I just don't understand how or why some hate pantyhose. To me, nothing looks or feels better. Maybe they are wearing the wrong size and squeezing themselves into some firm support pantyhose where they feel uncomfortable.

Get the right size pantyhose and enjoy the pantyhose lifestyle.

  2. Sounds like a horror scenario. But I doubt if it would ever come to that. In any case, the results of the stylelist survey are encouraging.

It is time the fashion people and anti pantyhose factions stop their war and crusading against pantyhose. OK, pantyhose are not for everyone and not everyone likes them. That is fine with me, but leave those who want to wear pantyhose alone and stop calling them old fashioned, grandma like and whatever more absurd and insulting names they come up with. They should stop behaving like fundamentalist fanatics, stop trying to indoctrinate and brainwash, and have more respect for the opinion and likings of others, also when those likings are different from their own.
Maybe it is even time those who are steadfast pantyhose wearers, whatever reason they might have to wear, start drawing some attention to all the positive and beneficial aspects of pantyhose to give some antidote to all the poisonous rubbish being spread around.

But I don’t think they will ever succeed in pushing pantyhose into oblivion. They don’t seem to be able to penetrate into the Eastern European countries for example, where you see pantyhose being worn everywhere and by all age groups, at least in those countries where I have been. The women and girls there don’t seem to be bothered by what the so-called experts have to say on pantyhose, instead they just wear them in huge numbers. That makes me think that they must in one way or another love wearing them. It would be nice if this trend would spread to the western parts.

I don’t think we have to fear a world entirely devoid of pantyhose as long as there still are parts where they are so much the “in” thing and pantyhose wearers seem to make up a majority.
